The method focuses on both mental and physical aspects of dancing and strives to increase an overall awareness on the different levels that operate while dancing.

Trisha Brown, the most widely acclaimed choreographer to emerge from the postmodern era, first came to public notice when she began showing her work with the Judson Dance Theater in the 1960s. The main theme of Vigil is a state of inner watch. Through abstract dance language and associative images this performance shows a constant cycle of faith, disappointment, retraction and returning to your chosen values. It portrays human spiritual transformation and attempts to grope signs of changing reality.
