In the performance 'Arrhythmias' Vytis Jankauskas Dance Company focuses on a topic of social relations and life in society. The life of individual in society is interpreted as a cross, carried on one's shoulders and at the same time as a blessing and salvation.

"This topic is of great interest and importance to me, I deal with it in several performances: the interrelatedness of personal freedom and commitment, humility, serving the other. We perceive freedom as a value itself, but it also can lead to alienation and getting completely rid of the other. We long for closeness but at the same time we fear of limiting our freedom. I don't think this performance drew me away from my previous aesthetics but probably in Arrythmias one can find less dance, more movement and almost one hundred pairs of shoes." Choreographer Vytis Jankauskas

Extract from the press review:
"I identify Arrythmias by Vytis Jankauskas as a statement of poetical existential truths within society. Right after being born every person enters a certain society, in the same way spectators from the very first minutes of the performance enter its social environment. [...] The choreographer implies that balance exists not only in nature but also in the life of an individual, and as soon as we are aware of that we must seek for balance between the inner and the social "me". Otherwise we may encounter an unexpected end (of life)." Dance critic Ingrida Gerbutavičiūtė, Dance.lt
